Castrol Alpha EP 220
High Performance Gear Oil Type CLP
Castrol Alpha EP 220 is a mineral gear oil enriched with anti-wear and anti-corrosion additives. It meets the requirements of DIN 51517-3 (type CLP), guaranteeing excellent protection of gear components in demanding operating conditions. It has excellent ageing resistance, temperature stability and compatibility with sealing materials.
Use:
Castrol Alpha EP 220 is recommended for the lubrication of industrial gearboxes exposed to high mechanical and thermal loads. It can also be used in mechanical-hydrodynamic transmissions, torque converter clutches and in hydraulic systems where the properties of a CLP transmission oil are required.
Advantages and benefits of use:
- Excellent wear protection: provides long-term protection for gear teeth and bearings.
- Foaming resistance: stable operation of the lubrication system without the risk of cavitation.
- Effective corrosion protection: minimizes the risk of corrosion, even in the presence of moisture.
- Good temperature characteristics: maintains viscosity stability over a wide temperature range.
- Material compatibility: does not cause degradation of elastomers and typical seal materials.
Classification according to standards:
- DIN 51517-3: CLP
- ISO 6743-6: CKC
Approvals and approvals:
The product meets the requirements of DIN 51517-3 and can be used in equipment requiring CLP oil. Suitable for most industrial gear units without special design requirements.
