Castrol Techniclean SC 170, 20L

Castrol Techniclean SC 170 is a high-performance detergent-based cleaner additive that dissolves in both mineral and synthetic hydrocarbon-based oils. It is designed for internal cleaning of heat transfer and lubrication systems by softening and dispersing sludge, varnish and oxidation residues, keeping them suspended for removal during the oil change. Previously known as BP Transclean 801, this product helps restore system efficiency and reduces maintenance downtime.

Application:

Techniclean SC 170 is intended for cleaning internal surfaces of heat transfer systems, including pipelines, reservoirs and heat exchangers operating with thermal oils. It can be used preventively or as a flushing additive before a complete oil change. It effectively dissolves carbon deposits, resinous layers and oxidation products, improving thermal exchange and eliminating the need for mechanical cleaning.

Approvals and certifications:
Castrol Techniclean SC 170 is compatible with mineral and synthetic hydrocarbon-based oils. It should not be used in systems containing water or phosphate ester fluids. It is widely recommended in power generation, chemical processing and heat transfer applications.

Storage:
Store in tightly sealed containers in a dry and cool indoor environment at 5–40°C. Protect from sunlight, moisture, and freezing. Shake or stir well before use. During cleaning, monitor filters regularly to avoid clogging due to dislodged contaminants.
